🎣 Combos — pair your tackle
Salmon gear runs in pairs: an attractor up front (flasher, dodger) and a trailer behind it (fly, meat rig, squid) on a leader. Combos let you save the pairings you actually run — so “the green Spin Doctor with the green fly on 22 inches” is one saved thing, not three fields you re-type.
Where to find it
Phone: Tools → My Tackle Box → Combos tab. Web: Dashboard → My Tackle Box → Combos. Synced between both.
1. Build a combo
- Tap + New combo, then pick the attractor — tap 🧰 Tackle box to pick a flasher you already own, or search the catalog.
- Pick the trailer the same way — 🧰 for a fly or meat rig already in your box, or search the catalog.
- Set the leader length in inches (this is the fly-leader measurement — not the same thing as how much line you let out), name it if you want (“Green Glow Rig”), and add notes.
2. Hang it on a line
In My Spread, open any line and choose Use a combo — the attractor and trailer copy onto that line together. From then on, every catch logged off that line (one-tap quick-pick or a Flurry rod-tap) carries the full rig.
One deliberate behavior: the combo is copied onto the line, not linked. Editing or deleting a combo later never silently rewrites a spread you already set — or a catch you already logged.
Why bother?
Beyond faster logging: your catches accumulate against real rigs. When the season log says the green rig out-fished everything three Saturdays running, that's not a hunch anymore.
