⚡ Flurry mode — log the chaos
A triple on at 5:40 AM is not the moment to fill out a form. Flurry mode is one giant button: every tap records a strike with the time, your GPS spot, and your active trip — instantly, even with no signal. The paperwork waits until the bite slows.
Where to find it
On your phone, tap the orange + button (bottom right) → ⚡ Flurry mode. It's also linked from the Log a Catch screen. Flurry is a Premium feature.
1. During the bite: just tap
- Set up My Spread first. STRIKE and the mic stay at the top of Flurry so you do not scroll past the spread to hit them. Rod buttons sit under that — tap the rod that fired and the strike is logged already knowing that line's depth, presentation, flasher, and bait. A full spread wraps and scrolls so every line is reachable.
- No spread set up? The big STRIKE button does the same thing without gear — time, spot, trip.
- Speak it. Tap the mic and say something like “just hit a double — outdown and a 300 copper.” Both strikes stamp at that moment. Named lines match the rods in My Spread when they can; if we can't tell which rod, the strike still saves so you can add the line later. Fill species and weight on Review — by hand or Voice Log.
- Dead zones don't matter. Strikes queue on your phone and sync themselves when signal comes back. Tap away.
- Fat-fingered one? Undo pulls the last tap back.
2. After the bite: one-tap triage
Open Review strikes (the ⚡ banner on your Home screen takes you there, or from the Flurry screen). Every strike is one tap:
- 🎣 Landed it — the fish moves down into the “Landed — add details” list. No form pops up mid-triage.
- Lost it — recorded as a hit that didn't come in. Lost fish still count for pattern-reading: the line, bait, and time are all there.
- Delete mistap — the tap never happened. Removes the strike so it does not count as a hit. Use this for an extra accidental tap, not a fish you actually lost.
Already tapped Lost it? Open the strike from the trip or your log and delete it there. Tapped Landed it by mistake? Delete from the Add details queue before you fill it in.
3. Back at the dock: add details
Landed fish wait in the Add details queue (same review screen, and a banner on Home reminds you). Open one — if you tapped a rod button during the flurry, the gear is already filled in, so “details” is usually just species, weight, and a photo. 🎙 Voice Log works on that form too — talk instead of type.
